Support Hub

2022 - ongoing

In the depths of the pandemic I spearheaded the conception and delivery of a project - the Support Hub - looking at supporting artists working in creative health. The pilot, funded by Arts Council England looked at 3 different types of professional and affective support, and was run online with a national (UK) reach.

In 2022, through my role at Arts & Health Hub, we were awarded funding to deliver a 3 year version of this project running 4 annual programmes in three locations: in person in London and Greater Manchester, and nationally online. Artists are able to access the 4 following programmes via open calls:

  • Peer to peer mental health support groups for artists with lived experience;

  • Professional development groups;

  • Clinical supervision (‘work therapy’) for artists working in challenging/demanding participatory settings such as hospitals, prisons, hospices etc.

  • 5 x 1-2-1 mentoring opportunities with industry professionals.

This project runs with all programmes finishing in 2026. I am overseeing not only the overall project management but the facilitation of groups and mentoring in London and online, alongside ensuring the support of all practitioners delivering through access to supervision etc.

This project is generously funded by Arts Council England, Baring Foundation and the Greater London Authority.
